Abbiegail Kaylea Smith, 11, of Keansburg, passed away tragically on Thursday July 13th. She was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States with her family in 2007; she lived in the Highlands before moving to Keansburg 2 years ago. Abbie was a 5th grader who attended Joseph R. Bolger Middle School. She loved dancing, modeling and dressing up. She always loved to make people laugh. Abbiegail is survived by her loving parents, Carol Bennett and Kenroy Smith; her grandparents, Beryl and Alphonso Bennett, Rosalyn Hamil and Dudley Smith; her five brothers, Kenroy Smith Jr., Nicholas Brown, Kane Smith, Chadwayne Richards and Shyhiem Ford; her 3 sisters, Kenish Smith, Latisha Smith and Quenisha Smith; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Family will be accepting friends on Sunday July 23rd from 2-6pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Monday there will be a 10:15am Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg. As per the family’s request, anyone who is attending the church service please meet at the church at 10:15am. Burial to follow at Bayview Cemetery, Leonardo. In lieu of flowers the family will be accepting donations in Abbiegail’s name for a scholarship fund.
