Richard J. Santangelo Sr., 74, of Keansburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 28th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, prior to moving to Keansburg 55 years ago. Richard was a Chemist for Biddle and Sawyer Inc. and was a Security Officer for Sterling Security in Woodbridge. He was a life member of New Point Comfort Fire Company #1; Boy Scout Leader for Troop #115 and a Soccer Coach for Saint Ann’s School. Surviving is his loving wife of 51 years Patricia Santangelo; four sons and daughters in-law Richard and Barbara Santangelo Jr. of West Long Branch, Father Michael Santangelo of Epiphany Church in Brick, Steven and Stacie Santangelo of Morganville, Robert and Becky Santangelo of New York and his 9 beautiful grandchildren. Family will be accepting friends on Friday 4-8pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Saturday there will be a 10:15AM Mass at St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Letters of condolences can be sent to www.jacquelinemryanfh.com
