Lucy Ann Calli, of Purdy’s, NY, formerly of Pleasantville, NY, died on Thursday February 18, 2016 at Waterview Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was 76 years old.
Lucy was born on August 22, 1939 in Peekskill, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Jamison) Conklin.
On October 24, 1959 she married Joseph Calli in Peekskill, NY. He predeceased his wife on January 20th 2003. She thoroughly enjoyed her job as a crossing guard for the Pleasantville School District and in her spare time selling Avon (she gave away more than she sold).
Lucy enjoyed bowling, bingo and playing cards with friends and family. She was a very generous and giving woman who will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
Lucy is survived by her two sisters; Deborah LePino and her husband John of Brewster, NY, and Georgianna Kormondy and her husband John of Clayton, NY, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Virginia Calli on June 27, 1963, her sisters Barbara Minnerly and Virginia Conklin, brothers Joseph Conklin and Johnny Conklin, nephew Jesse LePino and great nephews and niece Lauren Kimmerly, Joshua Merritt and Jaden Adams.
Beecher Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family. A private cremation occurred prior.
