William C. Lynch

William C. Lynch, age 96 of Brewster, NY, died Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Brewster, NY.

William was born June 9, 1924 in Wall, PA to Walter and Mildred (Okonska) Lynch. He graduated from Arnold High School in Arnold, PA and served his country proudly in the Army Air Corps during WWII.

On September 30, 1951 William married Mary Frances McCord in White Plains, NY. Mrs. Lynch died on June 24, 2011.

William and Mary lived in White Plains before moving to Brewster 61 yrs. ago. Mr. Lynch worked as a district manager of Electric and Gas for Con Edison in Westchester County for 39 years before retiring in 1986.

William was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, avid UCONN girls’ basketball fan and an avid golfer, as well as, a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster. Daily prayer was very important to William. His prayers included a long list of friends and family.

William is survived by his four children; Maureen Gill of Hopewell Jct. NY, Diane Harmon of Lake Carmel, NY, Barbara Fowler of Newtown, CT, William Lynch of Hopewell Jct., NY, six grandchildren; Amber Hunt, Nicholas and Chelsea Fowler, Connor, Lauren and Erin Lynch. Also his great grandchildren Sadie and Hunter Fowler and Claire and Daphne Hunt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday. August 5, 2020 10 AM at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Danbury, CT.
