Kathleen Becker Petell 1953-2019 Kathy Petell passed away on June 20, 2019 at Community Hospice Inn of Albany, NY Kathy was born on October 1, 1953 in Pittsfield, MA to Robert and Pearl Becker. She was the daughter of an Army major and as a child, traveled many of the 50 states as well as countries overseas. She enjoyed cooking, watching wrestling, and was an avid fan of the NY Jets. She had a love of all music, especially her favorite band, “The Outlaws”. The most precious thing is her life was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Ron Petell of Stephentown, NY; her loving sister, Jennifer Grimmett of Conroe, TX; her son, Jason Virgilio and wife Missy of Spring, TX; her step-daughter, Nicole Griffin and husband Kyle of Albany, NY; her step-son, R.J. Petell of New Lebanon, NY; her niece, Krista Grimmett of Conroe, TX; her nephew, Garrett Grimmett and wife Heather of Austin, TX; her 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; her great nephews, great niece, and several cousins. The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice Inn for their compassion and care of our loved one. Kathy had a special place in her heart for the US Armed Forces. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations, in memory of Kathy to “The Wounded Warrior Project” @ www.woundedwarriorproject.org The family will be holding a private memorial service.
