Celebration of Life Service will take place at 3 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 613 Court St., St. Joseph with Pastor Michael Roth officiating. A private burial will take place at a later time at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Radnor Station Building 2, Ste. 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA. 19087. Rick is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughter Lilly and daughter Jill Golden (and family) of St. Joseph; brothers, Al (Jane) and Mark (Carolyn) Halliday; sisters, Carol (Bob) Smith, Cathy (Bill) Johnson and Janie (Mike) Small; his life-long friend, Darryl Hammock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Ricky. Rick was born March 15, 1951 in Highland Park, Michigan to Alfred and Shirley (Schlee) Halliday. He graduated from Western Michigan University and moved to Southwest Michigan where he worked for various businesses before purchasing Krizman Metal Finishing.An entrepreneur at heart, Rick founded Kalamazoo Metal Finishers in 1982 to establish a location to better service his customers. Rick made the most of every opportunity and in 1991 he was a key partner in establishing Conformance Fasteners, where he served as president. In addition to his business endeavors, he supported his community by his involvement with the Venetian Festival and Trinity Lutheran Church and school board. On May 19, 1998, Rick married Lisa Miller. Rick’s most treasured moments were spent with his family which included times on the beach, at the cabin and hosting family and friends. Rick was a man with a kind heart and unmatched character; Lisa’s best friend and rock. His greatest gift to his family was his unwavering support and belief in each one of them.
