Charles Robert Sensing, 65, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013. He was the son of the late Norman and Nellie Allison Sensing. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Sensing and two sisters, Carolyn Smith and Beckie Rampey. Robert was a member of Boylston Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed singing. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and a very proud grandfather. Surviving is his wife, Linda Gevedon Sensing of Mills River; daughters, Jenny Goforth and husband Steve of Mills River, Angie Sensing and Lisa Moffitt of Fletcher, Heather Lance and husband Jordan of Mills River, Kerri Sensing Stepp of Mills River; sister Marcia Gevedon and husband David of Mill Spring, NC; grandchildren, Logan and Zachary Goforth, Carson and Bailey Lance, and Hailey Stepp, many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Monday, September 16, 2013 at Boylston Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Holbert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
