VANDERWAL, Roderick “Kim” We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our much loved Husband & Father, Kim Vanderwal. Cherished Husband to Pauline Vanderwal (DeGroot) for 32 years and loving Dad to Nicole and Brandon & Jenn. Kim fought a long battle with a Brain Injury and complications from it. He fell asleep peacefully on July 24, the day after his 62nd birthday. Kim was also a dear brother-in-law to Trish Jewell, Caroline & Henry van Doorn, Marilyn & Andy Miedema, son-in-law to Corrie DeGroot. Brother of Bob & Terry Vanderwal. Predeceased by father-in-law John DeGroot and his parents Ted & Margaret Vanderwal. Visitation will be held at the Miller Funeral Chapel in Caledonia on Friday, July 26 2019 from 6-9 pm. The Service will take place on Saturday, July 27, 11 am at the York Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 33 King Avenue, York, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. If so desired donations can be made to The John Noble Home Family Council (Brantford) or to the Ontario Brain Injury Association. Special thanks to all who have participated in Kim’s care, especially over the last 4 years. I am at peace, my soul is at rest, there is no need for tears, for with your love I was so blessed, for all my years.
