Emily Bosco, 82, of Manahawkin died on Monday, August 26, 2019 at home. Emily was born and raised in The Bronx, an upbringing she was immensely proud of.

Emily married her late husband Donald Bosco and the two moved to Beachwood, NJ where they remained for 40 years. The pair moved to Toms River, where they spent 12 years, and then made a final move to Manahawkin to live with her son’s family for 5 years.

Emily worked for the State of New Jersey as a bus driver for 25 years, retiring in 2005. She loved to travel, visiting places like Puerto Rico where some of her family roots originated. She also enjoyed crosswords, crocheting, cooking and entertaining, and disco dancing.

Emily is predeceased by her siblings Robert Bairan, Mary Soto and George Alvarez, and the love of her life, her husband, Donald A. Bosco. She is survived by her son Donald Bosco, daughter-in-law Kathleen Bosco; daughters and sons-in-laws, Donna & Fred Bahr and Melissa & Duane Shinton; and five grandchildren: Joseph Bosco, Kimberly Bosco, Stephanie Bosco, Nicolaus Burr, and Sam Bahr.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, 6-9 p.m., at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd. in Manchester. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday, 11:30 a.m, at St Joseph’s Church, Toms River with interment to follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.
