Dorothy Louise Frady Burns, 87 of Forest City died Tuesday, June 14 at Hospice House. A native of McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Van and Nancy Halford Frady. She was a member of Spindale Church of the Brethren and a retired employee of Roses. She is survived by three sons, Jim Burns of Spindale, Larry Burns of Forest City, and Eddie Burns of Bostic; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Odell Burns and daughter Nancy Faye Burns Bailey. Funeral services will be held 3PM Thursday, June 16 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Perry Jones and Rev. John Perry officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
