Frankie Culbreth, age 68, of Columbus, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Holly Springs Senior Center. A native of Jasper, Ga., he was a son of the late Flavers Franklin Culbreth, Sr and Grace Rhymer Culbreth. He was an Army Vietnam veteran and a retired fireman. He is survived by his wife, Irene Culbreth of the home; three daughters, Michelle Hamlet of Harris, Angela Scruggs of Cliffside, Wendy Culbreth of Spartanburg; one son, Mark Culbreth of Spartanburg; four sisters, Betty Smith of Tryon, Helen Price of Spartanburg, Mabel Valentine of Greenville, SC, Clara White of Cocoa Beach, FL and a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
