Marjorie Harris Lane, age 86, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on February 26th 2018 at Hospice. Marjorie was the daughter of the late Ella Lou Harris, and the wife of Earl Lane. Marjorie and her husband owned Golden Nugget Auto Sales. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Following her career at Tanner Corporation she enjoyed spending her retirement volunteering at Habitat for Humanity in Forest City. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Cathy Crawford (Greg Crawford); and grandson Taber Hyde. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, March 1st 2018 at Second Baptist Church 191 Green St, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. Dr. Keith Stephenson will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills , PO Box 336 Forest City NC 28043.
