Ms. Kellie LaShonda Bailey, 43, 461 North Tradd, of Statesville, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, following an extended illness. She was born in Iredell County on September 8, 1975, and was the daughter of Kenneth Sherman Feimster and Lottie Ann Bailey. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Allen Feimster and maternal grandparents, Ernest Wade “Tom” and Grace Moton Bailey.

She was a 1993 graduate of North Iredell High School and was employed by the Trimm System, where she worked as an inspector in Quality Control. She attended Highland Acres Church of Christ.

Lashonda leaves to cherish the memory of her life in addition to her parents, Kenny and Ann; her brother, Kenneth Antoine Bailey of Statesville; a sister-in-law, Krissy Bailey of Statesville; her fiancé, Jose “Kito” Valenica of Statesville; her grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Alexander Feimster of Statesville; five uncles, Joey (Diane) Bailey of Philadelphia, PA, Danny Eugene Bailey of San Francisco, CA, Charlie (Gladys) Feimster, Leonard (Margie) Feimster and Jimmy Roseboro all of Statesville; a great great uncle, Charles Moten of Philadelaphia, PA; four aunts, Julia (James) Lackey Brenda (Harry) Turner and Janice Bailey, Patricia (Johnny) Parson all of Statesville; a great aunt, Mrs.Betty Poole of Hiddnite; a nephew, Kamron (Victoria) Sansbery; a niece, Asia Bailey; a great niece Kinsley Sansberry of Statesville; cousins, other relatives, church family, neighbors and dear friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Thursday, February, 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm, at Highland Acres Church of Christ. Brother Al Simmons will officiate, burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2 pm, at the church, but will assemble at the residence, at all other times.
