<p>Carmen Matthews was born in Kosciusko, MS., on June 15,1946, to the union of Mr. Eddie D. Matthews and Mrs. Mary C. Matthews. She departed this life on January 18, 2020, at the age of 73.</p><p><br></p><p>She moved to Toledo, Ohio, at a very young age. Carmen professed her hope for Christ early in life. She was a graduate of Waite High School and worked for Chrysler Assembly Plant for over 30 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Carmen loved family gatherings, cooking, playing cards, reading, being happy and just living life to the fullest.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a loving and caring person, if you crossed paths with her, she surely made a impact or impression on your life.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by both parents, Mr. Eddie Matthews and Mrs. Mary Matthews, brothers, Randy, Percy and Eddie Matthews, Nephew, Randy "Red" Matthews, Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Christopher Matthews; sisters, Norma Hunter and Jean Matthews; brothers, Paul and Michael Matthews; grandchildren, Alayah K. Matthews, Zion N. Matthews, Livianna Lawrence, Haniah Matthews and Symphani Matthews; niece (caregiver), Deanna Hopings; special friend, Connie Coleman; best friend, Donna M. Jordan, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, many relatives and friends.</p>
