Mass of Christian Burial for Yvonne E. Degutis, 86, of Willowick, will be at 11 AM on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 32114 Vine Street, Willowick.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Degutis passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Broadview Multi-Care Center in Parma.

Born October 15, 1934 in Cleveland, she has lived in Willowick for the past 59 years.

She was a member of Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and loved to travel, visit casinos, enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader.

Mrs. Degutis had worked at the former C. Pearson Trophy Sales shop in Willowick for many years, where she built trophies and awards. She had also worked as a lunch lady and recess aide at Royalview Elementary School in Willowick.

Survivors are her children, Larry Degutis, Steve Degutis, Lori (John) Russo and Denise (Paul) Winegar; grandchildren, Nicolina Vencl, Nathan (Stephanie) Hoffman, Andrew Russo, Nicole Russo, David Degutis and Samuel Russo; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Nathan, Sydney and Eli and sister, Diane Arnold. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Larry P. “Lou” Degutis on September 21, 2019. Her parents, John Harold and Jeannette (Zeaser) Lavo, daughter-in-law, Kathy Degutis and siblings, Naomi, Patricia, Barbara and John “Jack” are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
