Joann R. Patterson, 73, Bellwood died early Saturday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona daughter of the late Clement H. and Ida Mae (Thomas) Reigh. She married James W. Patterson, IIII on April 24, 2000. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Roy C. Thompson, III of Bellwood and Jeffrey S. (Tammy Clapper) of Altoona; a daughter, Shelby L. (Randy Poplin) Gargon of Bellwood; 2 stepsons, Gregory S. and Jason A. Patterson; 7 grandchildren, Erika, John and Dane Gargon, Devin Poplin, Clinton Thompson, Tia Thompson and Cassandra Thompson; 3 great grandchildren, Julian Gargon, Gracie and Athena Thompson; and a sister, Doris Jean Hauser of Altoona. She was preceded in death by three granddaughters, Alanna and Angela Gargon and Chelsie Thompson; and a brother, Harold D. Reigh. Joann was a 1959 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She retired as an inspector at PPG Industries, Tipton and was a former member of Bellwood Historical Society and Descendants of the Civil War Veterans. She enjoyed reading, crafts, cooking and crocheting. Friends will be received from 12-2pm Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Wednesday at the funeral home, Rick Beatty officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
