Violet E. Kline, 86, Hollidaysburg, died Saturday afternoon at her home. She was born in Bellwood daughter of the late Frank C. and Abaline (Carothers) Baker. She was twice married, first to Frank “Jake” Lewis in March 1948, he died Aug. 8, 1965. She then married Richard L. Kline in Feb. 1967 and he died July 3, 2003. Surviving are two sons: Frank Michael (Billie) Lewis and David W. (Kathleen) Lewis both of Bellwood; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by great granddaughter: Addison Holl; and was the last of her immediate family preceded in death by fifteen siblings. Violet retired as a receptionist/secretary at WFBG Communications, Altoona. She was baptized at the Bellwood Church of the Brethren. Violet especially enjoyed cooking and collecting dolls, flower gardening and traveling. Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment was made at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. The family suggests that contributions in Violet’s memory be made to American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Division.
