Helen Hagan

Helen Hagan (nee Kostyk), 90 of Folsom, PA. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 23, 2015 Born on August 20,1924 in Wallingford, formerly known as Sacksville, PA.She was the daughter of the late Hnot and the late Mary (Plachetko) Kostyk. She retired in 2005 after working over 40 years as a Crossing Guard at the corner of 7th & Fairview Rd. in Ridley Township. Helen was known for her generosity and took great pride in being a homemaker and caregiver to her family, whom she loved greatly. She enjoyed caring for her dog and sharing stories about her childhood with her family and friends. She was an active member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, BINGO and going to the casinos. Some of Helen’s most special moments were shared with her husband, children and grandchildren in the summer season on the shores of Cape May,NJ. Predeceased by her husband of over 65 years Joseph E. Hagan Her siblings: Joseph, John, Mike, Nick ,Walter and Mary Kostyk, Rose Walter, Kate Guzek, Sophie Rest, Olga Riper and Anne Kowall Survived by three daughters: Donna Burke, Joanne (Nicholas) Luchko, Judy ( Michael) FitzPatrick and the last surviving and loving sister Edna Mielcarek 9 grandchildren, ; 14 great grandchildren, Funeral Mass Saturday 11:00 am at Notre Dame De Lourdes Church, Fairview Rd. & Michigan Ave., Swarthmore. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30-10:45 am at Notre Dame De Lourdes Church. Services will conclude with burial in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood.
