JOHN THOMAS O’ROURKE John, 88, of North Fayette Twp., passed peacefully surrounded by his family on December 31, 2017, after a brief illness. He was born November 29, 1929, to the late Hugh and Anna Lyons O’Rourke in Cecil, PA. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, John was a long-time hospital and nursing home administrator and member of a variety of national business, veterans and healthcare organizations. His dedication to his country, profession and community was dwarfed only by his loving and enduring commitment to his family and friends. He was the beloved husband for 66 years to Dolores Williams O’Rourke; father, mentor and best friend of his children, Terry O’Rourke Donoghue (and the late Timothy Donoghue), Leean Kaminski, Shawn (Maryann) O’Rourke, and Colin (Elizabeth) O’Rourke; loved and revered grandfather of Jennifer (Andrew) Gorman, Kathryn (Matt) Hooper, Erin (Carl) Stuvek, Connor and Merritt Donoghue, Emily and John O’Rourke, and Gale O’Rourke. He was the great grandfather of five. Also surviving is one of his six siblings, Anna O'Rourke. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 305 Main Street, Imperial (724-695-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12 Noon in Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
