Blacksburg -- Daniel Paul Bryson, 65, of 105 Byers Circle, passed away Monday, December 11th, 2017, at his residence. Born in San Diego, California, he was the son of Pauline Rothermel Bryson and the late Ernest Bryson. Mr. Bryson worked as an auto mechanic. He was a veteran of the US Navy. In addition to his mother, Mr. Bryson is survived by two sons, Eric Bryson and his wife, Kasie, of Gaffney and Paul Swick and his wife, Carolyn, of Blacksburg; one daughter, Shannon Boling and her fiance, Robert Cummings, of Bessemer City, NC; one brother, Rodney Bryson of Gaffney; one half-sister, Tina LeBlanc of Norfolk, VA; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Shannon Waldrop, his daughter, Barbara Fernandez, and his sister, Nancy Thompson. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary Chapel, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Bruce Price officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the chapel. The family will be at the residence of his son, Eric Bryson, 335 Pondfield Road, Gaffney, SC.
