Services for Jimmy Gene (Jim) Owen Jr., 67, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in Lane Prairie Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Clements will officiate. Burial with Masonic rite will be in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Jim Owen passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, in Cleburne. He was born March 25, 1948, in Fort Worth to Jimmy Gene Sr. and Jennetta Kathryn Duckett Owen. He married Debra Ken Dawson on Dec. 27, 1973, in Midland, Texas. Mr. Owen worked as security at Lockheed Martin for 10 years and was a police officer for the city of Mansfield for 18 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason with the Cleburne Masonic Lodge No. 315, a member of Scottish Rites in Dallas and Lane Prairie Baptist Church. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Debra Owen of Cleburne; son, Brian Owen and wife, Emily, of Cleburne; daughters, Brende Bullard and husband, Heath, and Ashley Hall and husband, Clifton, all of Cleburne; grandchildren, Allyson Owen, Cody Owen, Jennifer Owen and Lawson Bullard; brother, Mark Owen of Cleburne; sister, Melinda Caldwell of Cleburne; and a host of other relatives and friends.
