June Laue passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 in Crowley. She was born Nov. 7, 1923 in Porter, Okla. to Dewitt Clayton "Dewy" and Wilma Clement Hyden Kenyon. She married Joseph Benjamin Pierce on Apr. 14, 1949 in Takoma Park, Maryland. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1981. Mrs. Laue was a registered nurse and a member of the Crowley Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was very dedicated to her family, church and her nursing profession all of which gave her great joy. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Christman and husband Ron of Reading, PA and Jerrilynn J. Bicek and husband Harlyn of Burleson; 2 grandchildren, Ray Christman and wife Karie of Joshua and Rick Christman and wife Jennifer of Green Castles, PA; 2 great grandchildren, Benjamin Ray Christman and Charity Danielle Christman; five nieces, Millie Kenyon, DeLinda Fouts, Georgette Jarrett, Savarna Fouts and Georgene Strauser; three nephews, Clayton, Marshall and Jerry Kenyon and jumerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents ;one sister; Orva Smith; one brother, Orlie Kenyon and nephew, Wray Kenyon.
