John Reed

John Hollie Reed, 70, of Robinson passed away October 1, 2012 at his residence at Lake Limestone. Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. John was born October 26, 1941 in Mexia, Texas to Hollie and Ruth Slaughter Reed. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years of service. He also enjoyed spending time on his farm at Thiefneck. John was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Della Mae Reed; and Don Wayne Reed. John is survived by his wife, Allene Hill Reed of Robinson; son, John Reed and wife, Stephanie of Thiefneck; Elizabeth Holly Reed of Robinson; grandchildren, Jeffrey Reed, Christian White, Nickolas Charping, John Reed, Jr. and Gavin Reed; sister Jeaneane Prichard of Thiefneck.
