Julie Tucker Mexia, Texas Obituary

Julie Tucker

Julie Michelle Tucker, 40, of Mexia, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. She was with her Mother and Auntie Jane as the angels came to take her. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Teague Church of Christ with Mr. Benjamin Neeley officiating. The family will receive visitors from 7-9 PM Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Julie was born July 15, 1969, in Arlington, Texas. It was obvious from that time that she was to be a special and unique individual. Her journey has been a painful one, but she made it through, leaving behind the many friends and family who loved her so very much in her short life. Anyone who ever got to know her, never forgot her. Although it was short, she lived life to the fullest and had a faith that was stronger than most. To meet Julie was to be her friend and space prohibits listing all of her friends. She has truly left a hole in our hearts. Her family's heartfelt thanks goes out to the staff and her family at CenTexas Retarded Citizens in Mexia who gave her the best care and much love for the short time she was with them. Julie is survived by her Mother, Judy Jacobsen of Mexia; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Tina Tucker of Green Bay, Wisconsin; sister, Melissa Pollard of Grapevine, Texas; grandmother, Ruth Tucker of Garland, Texas; aunt and uncle, Janie and Mike Hodges of Fredericksburg, Texas; uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Jean Tucker of Plano, Texas; nieces, Hollyann Tucker, Kasey, and Courtney Pollard; and cousins, Paul Hodges, Kellie Hodges, Jamie Keith, and Jason Tucker; her best friend, Vera Roberts; and the love of her life, her special puppy, Mike. Julie was preceded in death by her father, James Michel Tucker, grandfather and grandmother, Herman and Dorothy Freeman, and grandfather, J.M. Tucker. Donations in her honor may be made to Providence Hospice, 107 E. Palestine, Mexia, Texas, who made her passing a dignified and loving experience.
