Robert Alvarez Orona, 70 Born July 25, 1949. Passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 after suffering from complications of a stroke earlier this year. Preceded in death by his mother, Aurelia Orona, father, Manuel Orona, brother, Joe Orona and Sisters, Mary Helen Orona and Olga Mendibles. He is survived by his wife, Clementine Orona, daughters, Kristine Bustamante (Noel), Helen Cota (Carlos), son, Ron Orona (Denise), grandsons, Steven Bustamante, Alexzander Bustamante, Andre Cota, granddaughter, Monae Cota, brothers, Johnny Godoy, Manuel Orona (Cecilia), Michael Orona, Gilbert Orona, sisters, Belen Lopez, Toni Gonzalez, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad was someone we all could depend on. He loved spending time with his family, but especially with his grandchildren. They were his heart, his pride and joy. Dad had a passion for old cars. He was happiest when he was working on his 55 Chevy pick-up and 68 Chevy Camaro. In recent years during his retirement he spent time helping to restore and renovate the El Casino Ballroom. Everywhere he went, he was sure to run into someone he knew. Whether it be someone from his childhood growing up, during his time proudly serving his country in the military or someone he worked with during his many years of employment. Everyone knew him as Bob. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and neighbors. If they needed something, he was ready to lend a hand. No questions asked. Bob was someone they could count on. Dad’s favorite word was, Absolutely! So dad, we know you are with us today. We want you to know that we love you. We will never forget you. We will miss you very much. ABSOLUTELY! There will be a viewing and rosary from 9:30a.m. – 10:30a.m. with a mass to follow held at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave, Tucson AZ on Saturday, September 7, 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Bob Orona to The El Casino Ballroom, c/o Fred Martinez, 437 E. 26th St, Tucson AZ 85713. Arrangements provided by Adair Funeral homes, Dodge.
