Jean Hinstorff Obituary

Jean A. Hinstorff, 71, of Fort Atkinson, WI went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017, surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born Jean Ardis Page on April 22, 1946, in Ripon, WI. She was the daughter of Ardin and Meita (Kuehn) Page and was raised in rural Green Lake County. Jeannie graduated valedictorian of the Green Lake High School class of 1964 and the UW Madison School of Home Economics with a BS degree in 1968. On August 10th, 1968, she married Jim Hinstorff and they began their life together in Indiana. Returning to Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in 1973, Jean worked in various areas related to her education before joining the banking industry to allow for more family time. In 1992 the family relocated to Fort Atkinson where she became an active member of Faith Community Church. She worked at Riverwood International, was proud to join the Fireside Family, and finally the Johnson Bank Family from which she retired in 2012. Jean is survived by her husband, Jim, two daughters: Jennifer (Brian) Wrightman of Apple Valley, MN, and Jaclyn (Nick) Saeger of Monona, WI; granddaughters: Elizabeth Anne Wrightman, Catherine Page Saeger (Cate) and Olivia Jean Saeger (Livi); sister: Marilyn (Michael) Wuest of Green Lake and their children, Jon and Melissa; sister-in-law: Marcia Hinstorff of Wauwatosa; other relatives and many friends, including a small circle of UW-Madison friends who have been a source of much support over the last four years and our Faith bible study group. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Jim’s parents, all of her aunts and uncles and several cousins. Memorial service will be at Faith Community Church at W5949 Hackbarth Road in Fort Atkinson, WI, at 11:00 a.m. On Saturday, October 28th, 2017. Private family burial will be in the Faith Memorial Garden at Faith Community Church. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Faith Community Church Memorial Garden in care of Ruth Anschuetz or to the Carbone Cancer Center at UW Madison. www.farberfuneralhome.com
