Eugene was born on May 23, 1920 to Hattie Tucker and Eugene Baker Sr. in Ducan Mississippi. He lived there most of his teenage life. He was a hard worker, could fix anything that could be broken, known for being one of the best painters, loving, kind, soft spoken, but very strong in stature. He married Mary Evans, she preceded him in death in the year 1974. To that union, 9 children were born. Eugene Baker was employed at the Chicago Illinois Conrad Hilton Hotel where he met Onnie Henry. Eugene and Onnie were united into marriage March 24 1981. Eugene found his faith of the Jehovah's Witnesses in the year 1989 until the present. Eugene liked to go out in field service to talk to people about Jehovah. Eugene also liked fishing, gardening, and the outdoors was his favorite place to be. Until Eugene's departure on January 5th 2020. Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife Mary, children: Eugene III, David, Dazetta, Eddie, and Eva Mae, siblings: Willie Mae, Rube, Easter, Bertha Lee, Robert, Otis, and Charles, and two great-great grandchildren. Eugene left to mourn him wife Onnie, sister Elizabeth, and children: Howard (Linda), Henry (Linda), Doretha (Columbus), Bernice, Robert, Johnny (Antoinette), Selestine, Mildred (Alex) Henry, Jewel (Marilyn), Ray (Marshon), Charles, Micheal (Karen), daughter-in-law Gloria, 51 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren, and a host of family members, friends, and all that loved him. Eugene Baker IV, and Eugene Baker V still live to carry the name. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11 from 9-10 AM at the funeral home, with funeral service to follow at 10 AM. Procession to Holy Cross Cemetery to follow the service. Farewell Beloved Daddy, Granddaddy, Great-Granddaddy, and Great-Great Granddaddy. This is a Bitter-Sweet Time. Bitter because we will miss you. Sweet because we know that this is what you have been looking forward to and what is best for you. Your Loving Family!!!
