Mildred Brown, age 78, of Lenoir, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born May 5, 1942, daughter of the late Odell and Colleen Lackey Hice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Terry Benfield; one brother, Bill Lackey. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Doug Brown of the home; one daughter, Teresia Dillard (Travis); two sons, Chris Benfield (Gina) and David Benfield both of Lenoir; three granddaughters, Makayla Benfield, Ashley Benfield and Katlin Hanson; three grandsons, Ethan Benfield, Cody Dillard and Sgt. Zachary Dillard USMC A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Bethel Advent Christian Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Don Key officiating.
